Ionia Sentinel - 10 December 1915
Mrs. Sarah Malvina McLaren, aged 73 years, died this morning at eight o'clock 
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Baker, 384 High Street, after an 
illness of three months.  Mrs. McLaren was an old resident of Ionia county.  
She was born in New York state but for the past 48 years resided in this 
county, her home being on the farm in Ronald township until 14 years ago when 
she came to the city, residing here since.  Her husband died 25 years ago.

Three children survive:  Mrs. Baker of Ionia; Will McLaren of Muir, and Jay 
McLaren of Grand Rapids.  The funeral will be attended from the residence of 
Mr. and Mrs. Baker Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. E. Hoag, paster of M. 
E. church conducting the services.
