Arden I. McLaughlin, 62, of 920 Jordan Lake Street died at Pennock hospital 
early Tuesday morning after a long illness.  He had been a patient at the 
hospital several days.  Born in Hardin County, Ohio October 26, 1904, he was 
the son of Isaac and Emma Albeim McLaughlin.  November 14, 1927 he was married 
to Thelma Vandecar who survives him.  They were residents of Lake Odessa 22 
years coming from Lansing.  He was a retired self-employed real estate dealer.

	

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Carlon and Nelson both of Lake Odessa 
and six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Gaylord Lapham of Yucaipa, Calif.; one 
brother, Ernest of Forest, Ohio.  The funeral will be at Pickens funeral chapel 
in Lake Odessa Thursday afternoon at 3:30 with burial in Lakeside cemetery.  
Rev. William Ribbens will officiate.
