Lake Odessa Wave, 11 Dec 1941

Mrs. Matilda McLavry, 82, widow of John McLavry, seed merchant, died at her 
home in Hastings, Friday.  She had been an artist and had made her home in 
Hastings for 20 years. 

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mary Lindley VanDugteren at Hastings and a half-
brother Charles Busick in Chicago.

Funeral services were held at the Leonard funeral home in Hastings, Monday, 
with burial in Lakeside cemetery here.

She was born in Indiana, November 11, 1859, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Zacharias Busick.  She was a member of the Methodist church and of the W.R.C.  
She lived in Lake Odessa about 25 years ago being then the wife of John Rizor 
who died a few years later.
