Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Jan. 29, 1954

Harry N. McLean, 70, of Route 3, Ionia, Ronald township, passed away at the 
Sheridan Community Hospital Thursday, January 28, at 5 p.m. He had been a 
patient there for the past ten days.

Mr. McLean was born in Mecosta county August 19, 1883, son of Alex and Caroline 
McLean. He was married to Bessie Bowers in Elsie, September 15, 1906. They 
lived the first 20 years in Ionia, Belding and Greenville and have lived in 
their present home on M-66 for the past 27 years. 

He was a former member of the Masonic Order, also Knights Templar.

Surviving are his wife, Bessie; one daughter, Katherine Selleck; three 
grandchildren, two brothers, Hugh of Waterloo, Ia., and Arthur of Glendale, 
Calif. One son, Russell, passed away in December, 1951.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 from the Boynton funeral home. The 
Rev. W.W. Pixley will officiate. Interment will be in the Forest Home cemetery, 
Greenville.
