Ila M. McLellen, age 93, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 
her home. 

She was born Sept. 15, 1915 in Orleans, the daughter of Walter E. & Bernice S. 
(Smith) Warden. Ila was a member of Shiloh Community Church and recently 
knitted and crocheted over 800 hats for the DeVos Children's Center of Grand 
Rapids. 

She is survived by her daughters Lola J. Marsh of Greenville and Janet 
Bierlein of Frankenmuth; son Ken McLellen of California; 7 grandchildren, 
Leanna (David) Coston, Melanie (Michael) Howard and Theresa (Eric) Nielsen all 
of Belding, Loretta (Larry) Garcia of Frankenmuth, Daniel (Joann) Griffin of 
Ohio, Kathlene Richmond of Saginaw and Kimberly (Randy) Hanna of Florida; 19 
great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and her sister Arlene (Earl) 
Woodard of Ionia. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Claude McLellen in 1993, sister Anna 
Eckley, brother Walter R. Warden and sons-in-law Fred Marsh and Darrell 
Bierlein. 

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Shiloh Community 
Church. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the services at the church. 
Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral 
Home, Greenville.
