Dean Leroy McLeod, 79, of Saranac, passed away April 3, 2011. He was born May 
5, 1931 in Lake Odessa, the son of Harold and Martha (Robinson) McLeod. He 
married Gladys A. Weeks May 6, 1966 in Saranac. She preceded him in death in 
2006. Dean served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his sons; Chris (Terry) Soules of Saranac, and Kerri 
(Russell) Shaler of Saranac; daughter Amy (Scott) Luna of Howell; brother Max 
(June) McCloud of Grand Ledge; brother-in-law, Lloyd Ulry of Holt; daughters-in-
law Chris Soules of Lowell, Joy (Mike) Kotter of Texas and Jill (Tom) McNeil of 
Texas; sister-in-law Pearl McLeod of Ionia and several grandchildren and great 
grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his son Ron, brothers, Ron, Lyle, and Robert 
McLeod, and sisters, Anita Amy and Geraldine Ulry.

As to his request, there will be no services held at this time. A burial of 
ashes will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements by Lake Funeral Home
