LAKE ODESSA – Gladys McLeod, age 98, of Lake Odessa, went to be with her Lord 
on Tuesday, February 13, 2007.

Gladys was born in Kalamo Twp, Eaton County on August 4, 1908.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rod McLeod, and her first husband, 
Ford Fay Curtis, parents, Fred and Catherine (Carrie) Potter of Nashville; 
sisters, Mildred McEvoy and Marian James; and brother, Wendall Potter.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Kay (Al) Klein of Lake Odessa, and Mira 
(Dave) Klaver of Zeeland; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakewood United Methodist Church 
where she had been a member since 1933 and faithful in attendance for many 
years.

Upon leaving her home and dear friends at Lake Manor in Lake Odessa, she became 
a resident of Cornerstone Living Center in Hastings for three years.

She entered Thornapple Manor on February 23, 2006.

The family deeply appreciates the love and wonderful care that Gladys received 
at both Cornerstone Living Center and Thornapple Manor (C-D wing).

The compassion and love extended beyond Mom to her family as well, and we will 
never forget those who took such good care of her and treated her like family.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Lakewood 
United Methodist Church. Burial took place in Lakeside Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
