Grand Ledge, MI - Max Jay McLeod, age 78, of Grand Ledge, formerly of Lake 
Odessa, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012, at Eaton Community Palliative 
Care Facility.

Max was born June 10, 1933, in Lake Odessa, the son of Harold and Martha 
(Robinson) McLeod.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings; his stepdaughter, Patty 
Kelley, and two step-grandchildren.

y married to Joyce Ketchum and together they had five children, Max (Kaye) 
McLeod of Oak Ridge, NC, Barry McLeod of Richmond, VA; Jodi (Jim) Farman of 
Sunfield; Michael (Debbie) McLeod of Powahatan, VA; and Julie (Chuck) Peckham 
of Grand Haven; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, June (Hart/Marshall) of Grand Ledge and 
her children, Greg Bannan (Kathy) of Shaftsburg; Denny (Margaret) Marshall of 
Portland; and Gary Marshall of Eaton Rapids; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.

Max retired after 35 years from Fisher-Body in Lansing. He was an avid golfer, 
and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and tending to his garden.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Sunfield United 
Methodist Church with Jeffrey J. Schrock officiating.
