Arnold R. McLeod, age 90, of Lake Odessa passed away on Saturday May 31, 2014 
at Thornapple Manor in Hastings.  Arnold was born May 15, 1924 to Rodney and 
Carrie (Annis) McLeod in Lake Odessa, MI. 

Arnold served in the Navy on the USS Breton Aircraft Carrier in the Pacific 
Rim.  In 1946 he married Bethel Victoria Anway who preceded him in death.  
Arnold was a dedicated journeyman electrician for GM for 36 years retiring in 
1981.  Arnold loved to hunt and fish in his younger days, lifetime member of 
the VFW Post 4461 and an avid Detroit Tigers fan.  He was a devoted family man 
and will be dearly missed. 

Survivors include: children Victoria (Darrell) Carr, Cindy (Gordon) Hess, Kim 
(Richard Gilroy) McLeod and Tammy (John) O'Mara, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-
grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.  Preceding Arnold in death 
are: wife Bethel, infant daughter Dixie Ann, three brothers and two sisters. 

A memorial visitation was scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2014 at Koops Funeral 
Chapel 935 4th Ave, Lake Odessa MI, 48849.  Interment will take place at a 
later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.  Memorials in Arnold's name may 
be given the Lake Odessa Fire Department First Responders for excellent care 
and compassion they showed Arnold.
