Barry Dean McLeod, age 61, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Lake Odessa, Mich., 
passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 21, 2014 at Retreat Doctors' 
Hospital in Richmond, Va. 

Barry was born on January 17, 1953 in Hastings, Mich. to his parents, Max and 
Joyce McLeod.  He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1971.  

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Julie McLeod of 
Richmond, Va.; his mother, Joyce McLeod of Spring Lake; his stepmother, June 
McLeod of Eaton Rapids; his brother and sister-in-law, Max and Kaye McLeod of 
Oakridge, N.C.; his sister and brother-in-law, Jodi and Jim Farman of Sunfield; 
his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Debbie McLeod of Powhatan, Va.; his 
sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Chuck Peckham of Grand Haven; and his 
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Max McLeod. 

Barry will be remembered for his creativity (especially painting, building and 
landscaping), his love of horticulture, his sense of humor and his kind, caring 
and gentle demeanor toward family and friends. 

A memorial of Barry's life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 
Kilpatrick United Brethren Church in Woodland at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, 
memorial contributions may be made to Kilpatrick United Brethren Church, 10005 
E. Barnum Road, Woodland, MI  48897 in memory of Barry McLeod.
