BEN McLEOD DIES IN DETROIT MONDAY
Ben McLeod, 62, of Detroit, a former resident died Monday morning following a
several weeks illness. He was born on a farm west of town and left here 27 years ago. Most
of that time has been spent in Detroit with exception of two years in California and three
years in Battle Creek. He was a member of the Lutheran church in Detroit.

Surviving are his wife; a son Wilson of Battle Creek; two grandsons; three brothers;
Rodney of Carlton Center, William of Dayton, Mich., and Harold of Lake Odessa;, one sister,
Mrs. Ed Eldridge of Lake Odessa, Mr. McLeods, first wife was instantly killed here in
October, 1923, when her car was hit by a train at the Main st. Crossing.
