Lake Odessa Wave - August 9, 1956
          BERTHA MCLEOD DIED THURSDAY
   Mrs. Rodney (Bertha) McLeod, 65, died Thursday at her home on Barber Road, in
Carlton township near 
Hastings after a long illness.
   She married Mr. McLeod in 1925 at Logansport, Indiana, and formerly residing in
Oshtemo before moving to 
Carlton township in 1940.
   She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Guild 2.
   Surviving are her husband, one daughter Mrs. Dallas (Mary) Rush of Woodland; a
brother Lewis Fields of 
San Marcos, Texas and two grandsons.
   Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 at the Presbyterian Church at Hastings
with burial in Lakeside 
Cemetery Lake Odessa. Rev. Leason Sharpe, officiated.  Bearers were nephews Ronald,
Dean, Max and Lyle 
McLeod and LaVerne and Lawrence Eldridge.
