Lake Odessa Wave - December 20, 1979
   GRAND RAPIDS - Arvin H. McLeod, 70, of Lake Odessa, died Dec. 11 at Blodgett
Hospital in Grand Rapids 
where he had been a patient for three months.
   Mr. McLeod was born Sept. 26, 1909, the son of Rodney and Carrie Annic McLeod.
  He attended Lake Odessa schools.
   On Oct. 5, 1931 he was married to Maxine Rathburn in Lake Odessa,  She died in
June of 1974.
   Mr. McLeod married Gladys Potter Curtis Nov. 7, 1974 in Lake Odessa.
   He was a self-employed electrician, plumber and carpenter in the Lake Odessa
area.  He operated L & R 
Screen and Glass shop in the town until ill health force his retirement this year.
   He attended Lakewood United Methodist Church.
   Survivors included his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Bonnie) Stambaugh
of Lake Odessa and Mrs. 
Ron (Nancy) Rivett of Woodland; two sons, Morris and Paul both of Woodland; two
step-daughters, Mrs. M. A. 
(Ray) Klein of Lake Odessa and Mrs Dave (Mira) Klaver of Holland; 15 grandchildren;
three great-
grandchildren; two brothers, Rex of Taft, Calif. and Arnold of Lake Odessa; two
sister, Mrs. Bernice Burch of 
Battle Creek and Mrs. Lewis (Maxine) Katz of Lake Odessa; a half-sister, Mrs. Dallas
(Mary) Rush of Lake 
Odessa.
   A son, Dallas, died in June 1972 and a brother, Nelson, died in 1975.
   Funeral services were held last Friday at the Lakewood United Methodist Church
with the Rev. James Hulett 
officiating.
   Burial was to be held in Lakeside Cemetery.
   A memorial fund has been established for Father Flannigan's Boys Town and the
Ionia Blood Bank.  
Envelopes are available at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
