Gilbert R. McLeod Passed Away

Gilbert R.McLeod, 82, of 136 W.Street Woodland, passed away unexpectedly at his 
home early Sunday morning, but had been in ill health for several years.

A native of Odessa township, he was the son of Angus and Sara McLeod. Mr McLeod 
was the custodian at the woodland school from 1923 to 1947. After his retirement 
he worked as a cabinet maker.

A member of the Woodland Methodist church, and Lions club. He was also a member 
of the village council for several years.

Surviving are three sons Raymond G. of Grand Rapids, Donald J of Lake Odessa and 
Elwood G. of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs 
Myrtle Patrick of Palm Springs, Calif.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with 
burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Laurence Lowell officiated.
