Lake O. Wave & Lake O. Times - April 3, 1941

RICHARD MC LEOD, 28, DIES IN WOODLAND WEDNESDAY

Richard McLeod, 28, son of Mr and Mrs Gilbert McLeod in Woodland was found dead 
at his parents' home Wednesday morning.Coroner Gordon Fisher declared death was 
suicide, due to an overdose of sleeping tablets. Young McLeod had been employed 
in Battle Creek until last Saturday when he quit his job. Despondency over 
illness was given as the reason for the act.

Surviving are the parents and three brothers, Raymond and Elwood in Woodland, 
and Donald in Lake Odessa. Funeral services will be held from the McLeod home at 
2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon and interment will be made in Lakeside cemetery 
here.
