Lake Odessa Wave - Thursday June 11, 1964

Services Held for Rodney L. McLeod

Rodney L. McLeod, 78, route 2, Hastings, resided on Barner Rd. passed away at 
the Ferguson-Droste-Ferguson hospital at Grand Rapids last Monday. He was the 
son of John and Phynane McLeod and a former local area resident and attended 
school here and at Caledonia. He has also resided at Kalamazoo where he was a 
contractor and road builder, later returning to Hastings where he was a member 
of the Barry County Road Commission, serving from 1949-1955 and was a farmer in 
Carlton township until retiring because of ill health.

Surviving are his wife, Frances; four sons Arvin and Arnold of Lake Odessa, Rex 
of Los Angeles, Calif. and Nelson of Battle Creek; three daughters, Mrs.Dallas 
(Mary) Rush of Lake Odessa; Mrs. Earl (Bernice) Birch and Mrs.Louis (Maxine) 
Catz both of Battle creek; three step sons; a step-daughter; several 
grandchildren, a sister, Mrs.Ed (Pearl) Eldridge of Lake Odessa and two brothers 
Harold of Lake Odessa and William of Dayton, Mich.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at the Leonard-Osgood funeral home at 
Hastings with burial in the Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
