It is our sad duty this week to chronicle the death of Henry McLoud, which occurred at his residence in this village at midnight Saturday. Mr. McLoud had been in poor health for some time and despite the best of medical care and attendance he gradually kept failing until the end came peacefully as above mentioned. The funeral was held from the house Wednesday forenoon from the house, Rev. W. W. Hurd, of the M. E. church preaching the funeral discourse. Interment in the Westside cemetery. John, Geo., and Homer Parks and Wm. H. Gee acted as pall bearers and Mrs. Jas. H. Ruel, Mrs. L. F. Lobdell and Miss Bessie Somers formed the choir, singing several beautiful hymns. Those who attended the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Fiebing, Mrs. Julia Ross and Mrs. Louise Ross, of Muir, Mr. and Mrs. John Shoemaker of Lyons, Wm. Gee and Lon Havens.
