Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Mon., Oct. 14, 1929
Mrs. May McMannis, 50 years of age and a longtime resident of Ionia township, 
passed away at her residence at 9 o'clock Sunday evening following a few 
hours' illness.  Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock Easter time, Rev. C.E. Thies officiating.  Interment 
will be in Woodard Lake cemetery.

Surviving Mrs. McMannis are her husband, Charles McMannis; a sister, Mrs. 
James Younger, of Ronald township, and a number of other relatives residing at 
Grand Rapids and in New York state.

Mrs. McMannis was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brown, well-known Ionia 
township residents who died last winter within a few days of each other, Mrs. 
Brown passing away January 19 and Mrs. Brown on January 23.  [error]
