The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 31, 1969

Allan Richard McMillan, 66, of 118 Hill, Portland, died Thursday at Ingham 
Medical hospital in Lansing after being a patient eight weeks.  He was born 
May 29, 1903, in Canada.  He was a self employed livestock broker and had made 
his home in Portland the past 20 years.  A member of Masonic lodge of Portland 
he also belonged to Portland Country club.

Besides his wife Edith, he is survived by a son, Allan R. McMillan, Jr., of 
Utica; three grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Ethel Calnan of Ontario, Canada; 
three brothers, Archie, Harry and Charles all of Ontario.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home in 
Portland,  Rev. Donald Cozadd of United Methodist church of Portland will 
officiate.  Interment will be at Portland cemetery.  Bearers are Elon Lakin, 
Sam Burman, Ben Arnold, Morris Shattuck, C. J. Hill and Elmer Smith.
