McMillan, of 935 West Main street died at his home Sunday at 9:30 a.m. after being ill for 10 days. He was born in Lorraine county, Ohio, coming to Michigan at an early age. He lived in Grand Ledge and Portland before moving to Ionia 23 years ago. Mr. McMillan worked at the Ionia reformatory for eleven years until his retirement in 1938. He was married to Mrs. Harriet Cummings of Ionia on March 6, 1929, by the late Rev. W.F. Kendrick of the Ionia Methodist church. Surviving are the wife, a step-son, George Pitchford, of Portland, and a step- daughter Mrs. ?ew?s Banhagel of Detroit. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Boynton funeral home. Dr. Howard A. Smith will officiate.
