He was born October 22, 1937 at Trout Lake, Michigan the son of John and Mildred R. Huffman McMillan. DJ attended Belding Schools and proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 203 in Belding. DJ was married on April 4, 1967 to Esther Higgins and she preceded him on February 14, 2001. DJ was also preceded by his parents and brother, John "Jack" McMillan. DJ is survived by his children, Chris McMillan Jim and Tammy McMillan all of Belding and Bruce McMillan of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by his 1st wife, Carolyn Crosslan of Belding, eight grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren., his brothers and sisters, William McMillan and family from Arkansas, Louis and Arlene McMillan of Belding, Sally McMillan of Arkansas, Doreen Kochenowel of Provo, Utah, Deora Jeffers and Cathy Scott both of Fenwick and special friend; Peggy McKay of Belding. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. Interment will be in River Ridge Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion Post 203, Belding.
