Ionia Standard, page 1, 14 Jun 1907

John McMullen died Tuesday evening, at the county house.  He has not spoken a
word, nor been able to help himself in the slightest, since the 2nd of May, when
he was picked up in a field on Judge Davis’ farm, where he had been prostrated
by a stroke of apoplexy.  He had no relatives so far as known.  His age, as near
as can be guessed, was 60 years.  Remains were buried in Highland Park, through
the liberality of Ionia people.
