Services for John L. McNamara, 54, of Charlotte were held at St. Mary’s 
Catholic church in Charlotte Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. James O’Mara 
singing the mass.  The Rev. Fr. William Hankard of Lansing was deacon and the 
Rev. Fr. Joseph Green of Charlotte was sub-deacon.  Interment was in a 
Charlotte cemetery.

Many friends and lodge representatives attended his service.  Brother and 
partner of Marin D. McNamara of Ionia, John McNamara died at the Hayes-Green 
Beach Memorial hospital in Charlotte at 12:02 p.m. Friday after suffering a 
stroke on Monday.
