McNaughton, 84, of Belding passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at United Memorial Health Center, Greenville. He was born May 22, 1917, in Belding, the son of Bert and Mable Scott McNaughton. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and later served more than 22 years as a chief warrant officer in the Medical Service Corps of the United States Army. He was a former member of Belding United Methodist Church and was a member of Belding American Legion Post 204 and Sheridan VFW Post 5065. He married Marie Sadon Dec. 19, 1944, in Grand Rapids. She preceded him in death March 17, 1987. He also was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clayton McNaughton, in November 1979. He is survived by his special friend Maudie Harrington of Belding. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alvah N.
