Ionia Sentinel-Std. - Sat. March 27, 2021

On January 2, 2021, Merrie passed away, and joined her husband, Clayton, parents 
Frank and Winefred Wrisley Chambers, sister Helen, brothers Russell and Max and 
many cousins, in their forever home.

She was born and raised on the Chambers farm near Palo. She met Clayton at a 
dance hall where Clayton played drums in the band. They married in 1940. After 
Clayton was discharged from the Army, they settled in Jackson and raised their 
family.

They had three daughters, Terrie, Kay, Pam. They will carry Merrie's memories 
forward to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, 
nieces and nephews.
