Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Dec. 26, 1970


Mrs. Irene McPherson, 70, of 4142 North State Road, died Friday morning at 
Ionia Manor following an extended illness.

Born in Ronald township, August 16, 1900, she was the daughter of Nelson and 
Alta Boyd Haysmer and attended the Hubble school.

October 6, 1917, she was married to Donald McPherson who died September 22, 
1964. She was a member of the State Road club, former member of Banner grange 
and Farmers union.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Trebian of rural Orleans, Mrs. Ilene 
Usler of Royal Oak, Mrs. Thelma Strickling and Mrs. LeeIla Fancett of rural 
Ionia; two sons, Gene of rural Ionia and N.J. of Brighton; 14 grandchildren and 
seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Marie McPherson of Ionia. 

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 pm at Stone-Kauffman funeral home. Rev. 
Chester Erickson will officiate and interment will be at Woodard Lake cemetery.
