Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Feb. 28, 1974


Funeral services for Mrs. Maxine J. McPherson, 45, of 4280 North State road, 
will be Saturday at 10 am at Myers-Roetman funeral home. Interment will be at 
Woodard Lake cemetery.

She was born March 19, 1928, in Ionia the daughter of Amos and Ruth Stanton and 
died Wednesday at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids following a short 
illness. 

She graduated from Ionia high school with the class of 1946 and was employed at 
Ionia State hospital six years and the General Tire Company of Ionia the past 
three months.

February 28, 1970, she was married in Ionia to Gene M. McPherson.

Surviving, besides her husband are two sons, Douglas Perrien of Lansing and 
Phillip Perrien of Ionia; three daughters, Debbie, Brenda and Janalee Perrien 
all at home; two stepsons, Patrick and Thomas McPherson , at home; parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Amos Stanton of Ionia, brother, Wayne of Ionia and sister, Mrs. Lorene 
Adgate of Ionia.

Rosary will be recited Friday at 8:15 pm at the Myers-Roetman funeral home.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer fund. 

Family will be at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 
pm.
