Vernon C. McPherson, 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Saturday
morning, Nov. 1, 2008.  Vern served in the U.S. Navy in the Aleutian Islands. 
He retired after 44 years from Extruded Metals in Belding.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Herta McPherson; sons, Vernon L.
McPherson of Fort Meyers, Fla., Robert McPherson of Grand Rapids; daughters
Heide Hawley and Helga McPherson, both of Grand Rapids, grandchildren, Jennifer
McPherson of Grand Rapids, Michael McPherson of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services are pending and a small memorial service will be scheduled for
immediate family.
