MCPHERSON
James "Jimmy Mac" Douglas McPherson age 79 of Saranac, MI passed away February 
8, 2021. He was born on October 24, 1941 in Greenville, MI the son of Bruce and 
Roberta (Easlick) McPherson. He married Ora Friedli on August 26, 1960 in 
Saranac. Jim retired from the Navy and Army National Guard where he worked as a 
Machinist Mate. He was a member and past Commander of Saranac American Legion. 
He enjoyed going fishing and hunting. Jim loved spending time with his family. 
Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Ora McPherson of Saranac; children, 
Tucker Alan McPherson and Mary Breckon of Saranac; Allison Leland of Saranac and 
Shannon Gleason of Saranac; grandchildren, Alana McPherson, John Leland,  Jade 
Leland, Jim Leland, Erica (Tim) McKellips and Bruce Bell; great grandchildren, 
Jimmy Jr. and Loan McKellips; brothers, Terry (Judy) McPherson of Ionia, Roger 
(Linda) McPherson of Ionia and Brian (Carolyn) McPherson of Massachusetts; 
brother-in-law, Ben Rusnell of Pennsylvania and many nieces, nephews and 
cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those wishing may made 
memorial contributions to Saranac American Legion. Arrangements in care of Lake 
Funeral Home in Saranac. Online condolences may be made at
