Miss McPherson was born in the old McPherson homestead on the State road, and attended the Ionia schools before the days of graduation and high school diplomas were a part of the closing features of high school curriculum. For several years she was a teacher in the public schools of Detroit. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. George Gundrum and Miss Mary McPherson, of Ionia, and a brother, Donald McPherson, of Washington. The body arrived in Ionia Friday afternoon and was taken to the old McPherson home on the State road, where the funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W. F. Kendrick Saturday afternoon at 2:30 Eastern time. The interment will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.
