Ionia County News, 26 Jan 1956

George W. McQuillan, Jr., 43, died Wednesday about noon in his room at the 
Devine Hotel, in Portland.  He had been ill for the past few months.  He was 
born in Lyons, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George McQuillan, and lived in Lyons 
until a few months ago.

He was married in 1935 to Miss Marian Maus, of Lyons, who survives.  He is also 
survived by two sons, Gary, who is stationed with the U.S. Navy at Great Lakes, 
Illinois, and George III, at home, and his mother, Mrs. James Procious of Ionia.

Services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Shaw-Rivett Funeral Home in 
Muir, with the Rev. Robert Watt officiating.  The burial was in the Lyons 
cemetery.  The bearers were Harry Maus, Chester Gladding, Stanley Mills, Ethard 
Dick, Lyle Bissell and Richard Raglin.
