McQUILLAN, FRANCIS:
   Per THE IONIA COUNTY SENTINEL, (MI), Friday, June 19, 1868, page 3:  "Fatal
Accident. - Francis McQuillan, residing two miles south of Lyons, was instantly
killed Sunday afternoon while returning to his home in company with his wife,
from visiting relatives.  The horses were a spirited team and had before run
away.  Reaching the brow of a hill, before making the descent Mr. McQuillan
requested his wife to alight and walk down, while he drove the horses.  Scarcely
had this change been affected, when the horses started down the hill at a rapid
pace.  Mr. McQuillan was thrown from the wagon, striking his head on a stake,
fracturing the skull, and causing his instant death."
