McQuillan, 72, died about 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Carson City Hospital. He had been ill for some time, and seriously ill for about three weeks. He was taken to the hospital Monday. McQuillan was born June 6, 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McQuillan, of Orange township, southwest of Lyons. He attended the Keefer Rural School and has resided in Lyons for many years. He retired from his trucking business about seven years ago. McQuillan married Edith Fineout of Lyons in 1902. She survives. He is also survived by one son, George McQuillan Jr.; two grandson, Gary and George III, all of Lyons; four sisters, Miss Mable Hamler, Lyons, Mrs. E. A. Penny and Mrs. Charles Minard, both of Detroit, and Miss Ruth Hamler of Dearborn. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed. The body will lie in rest at the Shaw-Rivett Funeral Home in Muir. The funeral will be held there, with interment in Lyons.
