Born Oct 2, 1898, she was the daughter of Elmer and Anna Tobias Winey. She was graduated from Lake Odess High School in 1916 and was married to the Rev. Roy McRoberts in March 1919. They lived in Lake Odessa and Copemish where he was a United Brethren pastor. He died Feb. 13, 1980. A member of the Marilla Church of the Brethren, she was a member and past president of the Women's Christian Temperance Unit. Surviving are three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Don (Olive) Collier of Muskegon, Mrs. Keith (Jean) Bergy of Caledonia, and Mrs. Duane (Marie) Deardorff of Lake Odessa, Howard McRoberts of Rose N.Y., Roy McRoberts of West Manchester, Ohio, and Dan McRoberts of Kentwood; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Cletus Wieland of Freeport, and a sister-in-law, Edwa Winey of Lake Odessa; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hope Church of the Brethren, Freeport, with the Rev. Donald Willoughby, the Rev. James Kinsey, and the Rev. Jerry Brenneman officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa. The family will be at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa.
