Carr, was born in Odessa township, February 28, 1874. After a long illness and being in bed six weeks she quietly passed away at the home of her son Rev. Roy McRoberts, November 21, at the age of 64 years, eight months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Alexander McRoberts, August 13, 1893. To this union were born three children, Roy Jennings, and a son and a daughter who died in infancy. Mrs. McRoberts was converted at a very early age and joined the Wesleyan Methodist church which she has served faithfully since early girlhood. She was a charter member of the Missionary society of which she was vice-president at the time of her death. In her long service to the church she was delegate to conference for many years; has been teacher in the Sunday school; a class leader in the church, and had loyally supported its interest. In the community she spared no effort to lend a helping lhand in time of sickness or need. Among those who will miss her are her husband, a son three brothers, one half brother, five grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was held at the Wesleyan Methodist church with the Rev. D. J. Backa officiating. The music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stahl and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Weaver accompanied by Mrs. Orval Deardorff. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
