LEAVES THREE WELL-KNOWN SONS. ----------- Eliza, oldest daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Joseph Parks wass born in Down County, Ireland. March 20, 1937 and died March 26, 1928, at her farm home in Odessa, where she had lived for about fifty-six years and 6 days. Her mother having died when she was nine years old, she being the oldest of the family, tried as best she could to fill a mother's place. At the age of thirteen she came with the family to America. January 8, 1863 she was united in marriage to Charles McRoberts, to this union were born four sons and two daughters. Her husband departed this life about twenty-eight years ago, also the two daughters and one son had gone on before. Besides the three sons, Charles, Alexander and Samuel she leaves five grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. With her sister Margaret, she leaves six other brothers and sisters. Of when there ae two with us today and many, many other relatives and a host of friends who will vividly remember her home going. She was a Christian for many years and when she was able to go to church attended the U. B. Church at West Odessa of which she was a member. During her last years she expressed her wish many times that the Lord would call her home as she was only waiting. The funeral was held Thursday at the Calvary United Brethren church, conducted by Rev. L. A. Clark. Interment at Lake Side cemetery. ---------- CARD OF THANKS. We thank also the pastor, singers and those who sent flowers.
