Ionia Sentinel Standard
Mrs. Iva B. McShane, 81, of 441 Rice was found dead at her residence Wednesday 
evening by members of her family.  Dr. Leandre Bautista, medical examiner, ruled 
death, which he judged occurred sometime Monday afternoon to be due to natural 
causes.  She was born February 24, 1892, in Moscow, Idaho, where she attended 
school.  She was married in 1914 to Frank McShane in Moscow moving first to 
Montana and then to Michigan in 1920 where they made their home in East Detroit.  
They moved to Ionia in 1937 and he died in 1948.  She was a member of SS Peter 
and Paul church, former member of Minnie Howard club and member of Ionia Senior 
Citizens.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lorna Shepard of Orleans; stepson, Joe McShane of 
New York; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 am at SS Peter and Paul church.  Fr Jack 
Findlay will officiate and interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Rosary 
will be recited Friday at 8 pm at Leddick funeral home
