Lake Odessa Wave - May 7, 1903
          BLED TO DEATH.
   Glenn Alva, son of Mrs. McTaggart, died at the home of his mother in this village
on Sunday night after an 
illness of about three months with consumption, which first made its attack the last
week in January.  The 
case was a severe one and he had gradually declined since.  The funeral was held at
the Congregational 
church on Wednesday.  Rev. Skentelbury conduction the service.  The boy's remains
were interred in Lakeside 
cemetery.
  The boy was born at Clarksville May 21, 1894, and with his parents came to Lake
Odessa a little over five 
years ago.  They later moved away and returned to Lake Odessa only a short time ago.
 The father died a little 
over a year ago.
   T2he lad bore his sufferings bravely and on Sunday forenoon was up and around the
house, in the evening 
he was taken worse and at night in a fit of coughing a blood vessel broke in his
lungs, and before doctors 
could arrive the boy had bled to death.
