                             HOWARD W.McVEIGH

LAKE ODESSA-Howard W. McVeigh, 73, of 1384 Elm Road, Lake Odessa, died June 29, 
in Pennock Hospital, Hastings.

He was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Freesoil the son of James and Margaret Munson 
McVeigh, and was graduated from Woodland High School in 1934.

He was married to Marian Scheidt April 25, 1943, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She 
survives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and also worked in 
maintenance at General Tire until his retirement in 1980.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Mrs.Wesley (Joanne) Emery 
of Kissimmee Fla., Mrs.Robert (Catherine) Roush Sr. of Olivet, and Mrs.David( 
Lois) Downing of Grand Ledge; one son, Wesley McVeigh of Ionia; seven 
grandchildren; a brother, Floyd McVeigh of Lake Odessa; and a sister, Anne 
Capen, of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from Koops Funeral Chapel,Lake 
Odessa, the Rev. Lester DeGroot officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
