Ionia Standard, 10 Dec 1897

Richard McWilliams, for 42 years a resident of Lyons, was buried from his home 
Sunday last.  For about two years he has been greatly afflicted with cancer of 
the face, which doubtless hastened his death.  For about 30 years he followed 
shoemaking.  He was regarded as a good citizen, though somewhat eccentric.  Age 
76.
