ROBERT "MAC" FRANCIS McWILLIAMS JR. 1954-2016
Robert "Mac" Francis McWilliams Jr., age 62 of Ionia, MI, passed away Aug. 23, 
2016. He was born on Jan 24, 1954 in Ionia, MI, the son of Robert and Patricia 
(Ferguson) McWilliams Sr. Mac married Sue Schalow on Oct.11, 1980 in Portland, 
MI.

He was a member of the Exiled Saints law Enforcement Club Ionia Chapter and 
Redemption Riders. Mac worked for the State of Michigan as a Corrections Officer 
for many years and later for TRW.

Mac is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sue; children, Bobbie(Bill) 
Dixon of Burtion and Eric Thalison of Ionia; grandchildren, Brian Schaeffer, 
Harley Schaeffer, Carter Thalison, and Coleman Thalison; mother-in-law, Evelyn 
King of Portland; brother, Randy (Carleen) McWilliams of Texas; sister, Linda 
(Dan) Kohagen of Ionia; and brother-in-law, Bob (Sharon) Schalow of Portland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kevin McWilliams; and brother-
in-law, Sam Schalow.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 at Portland First 
Congregational Church with Pastor Marilyn Danielson officiating. Visitation will 
be held at the church from noon until the time of service. Those wishing may
