Ionia Daily Sentinel - November 9, 1915
Samuel Meacham, an old citizen of Ionia county and a civil war veteran died 
Monday at 4 pm at the home of his son-in-law Afton Smith of Ronald township.  
He had made his home in Palo until last spring since when on account of poor 
health he lived at the home of his daughter.  He is survived by two sons and a 
daughter.  The funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at his daughter's 
home.  Burial in Highland Park.
