Ionia Daily Sentinel, 31 Aug 1908; Ionia Standard, 4 Sep 1908

Bridget Mead, aged 80 years, died at the home of her son, John Mead, Welton 
street, Saturday night.  The funeral was held this morning at nine o’clock from 
the Catholic church.  Rev. Fr. McCarthy officiating.

The funeral of Mrs. James Mead was attended from the Church of SS. Peter & Paul 
on Monday, many friends of the aged woman being present.  She had occupied the 
home where she died, No. 329 Welton street, onto half a century.  The bearers 
were family friends of many years:  Bartholomew Kennedy, M. Bolen, William 
Welton and Michael Fitzgerald.
