Ionia Daily Sentinel, 22 Apr 1916

Mrs. Jennie Mead, aged 78 died Thursday at the Soldiers’ home, in Grand Rapids.
 The remains arrived in Ionia at 11:45 and services were held at 2 o’clock at
Bradley’s and the remains were laid to rest in the family lot at Highland Park.
 Rev. C. E. Hoag officiated.  She leaves one son, W.L. Mead, of Chicago.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was born
in Pennsylvania on 3 Sep 1837 the daughter of Annios and Aurora (Goff) Rowlee.]
