Richard A. Megarah, 80, of Lansing, died April 18, 2009 at his home.  He was 
born Dec. 27, 1928, to Arthur and Grace (Lockwood) Megarah.  On Sept. 10, 1955 
he married Marilyn Cote in Angola, Ind.

Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn, three daughters, Cynthia (Clare) 
Ruff of Perrinton, Cheryl (Tom) Johnston of Ionia and Brenda (Mark) Sherman of 
Elsie; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother-in-law.  
Cremation has taken place.  Military graveside services for Richard were held 
on April 24 at the Portland Cemetery conducted by the Portland V.F.W.  
Arrangements are entrusted to the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to Ionia/Ingham County Hospice.
