Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. March 23, 1944

Mrs. Elizabeth Megarah, 74, of Collins died Wednesday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock 
at the Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for the past 
month following a stroke February 26.

She was born May 26, 1869 in Ionia township and was the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. James Dennis.

In 1888 she was married to Edward Megarah, who died in 1940.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Elmer Adgate of Orange and Arthur Megarah, of 
Portland, and 10 grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at the Myers funeral home Saturday morning at 
8:30 o'clock, and Requium Mass will be offered at 9:15 o'clock at SS. Peter and 
Paul church. Rev. Fr. John S. Fons will officiate and burial will be in Mt. 
Olivet cemetery.
