The Belding Banner, Thursday, March 15, 1900

Mrs. Olga H. Mehney, wife of Edward Mehney, died at their rooms in the Bricker 
block on Bridge street Sunday afternoon at about four o’clock.  Funeral 
services were held Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. A. O. Carman.  This is 
a sad blow to the husband and friends, and leaves a young babe born Feb. 27th 
motherless, although it will receive the best care and attention from Mr. 
Mehney’s parents who have taken charge of it.  

The deceased was born in Denmark Jan. 31st ’81 and came to this country at the 
age of three years with her parents, her home previous to her marriage, May 
30, 1898, being at Muskegon.  She was of a quiet and retiring disposition 
being most appreciated by those who knew her best.  Mr. Mehney wishes to thank 
the friends for their assistance and sympathy.
