Mehney in Detroit, Saturday, September 15th was received by his aunt, Mrs. Adele Sussex of Cooks Corners. Mr. Mehney was born in Belding in 1900, later living in Smyrna and Cooks Corners where he attended school and graduated from Belding High School. Shortly after, he moved to Detroit and associated with the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank from Sept. 3, 1919 to June 30, 1961. He retired because of ill health in 1961. He was purchasing agent and building superintendent. Mr. Mehney was active in all sports and social activities of the bank employees. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maud Mehney, a son Charles and two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Moul and Mrs. Owns Peal, and nine grandchildren. He resided at 11340 Bramel Ave., Detroit. Funeral services were held Wednesday from St. Gemmins Church. Attending the services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Fletcher and Mrs. Adele Sussex from Cooks Corners.
