Funeral services for Mrs. Manuel Mejia, 36, of 921 Luther street, Belding, will 
be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Fitzjohn-Courser funeral home in Belding.  James 
Sayers will officiate.  

Family will meet friends and relatives Saturday and Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 
9 p.m.  Bearers will be Jack, Wayne, Ronald and Bernard Jewell, Edward Garlick 
and Donald Tromp.  Interment will be in Otisco cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Mejia, 36, of 921 Luther street, were 
held Monday at Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home.  Mr. James Sayers officiated.  
Interment was at Otisco Township Cemetery, Ionia County.  

Pallbearers were Jack Jewell, Ronald Jewell, Edward Garlick, Duane Jewell, 
Bernard Jewell and Donald Tromp.

Mrs. Mejia died unexpectedly July 17 at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital, 
Grand Rapids.  She was born March 19, 1933 in Belding, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Clare Jewell.  Her husband, whom she married September 30, 1950, 
survives.  Mrs. Mejia, a housewife, was a Girl Scout leader.

Other survivors include five daughters at home, Melonie, Melinda, Kathy, 
Carole, and Andrea; a son, Manuel Jr., at home; five sisters, Mrs. Narva 
(Deber) Huey, Mrs. Judy (Edward) Garlick, Mrs. Sandra (Donald) Tromp, Mrs. Lois 
(Dennis) Wireman, all of Belding; and Mrs. Joan (Gordon) Hunt of Stanton; four 
brothers, Bernard Jewell and Jack Jewell of Belding and Duane Jewell of 
Belmont; and several nieces and nephews.
