Bruce Allen Mellema, 65, of rural Greenville, passed away Saturday morning June
4, 2005, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice.  Bruce was
born April 22, 1940, in Grand Rapids, the son of Claude and Lillian Tubbs
Mellema.  He and his wife owned and operated Mellema’s Service Station
Maintenance of Greenville.  Bruce enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was married
Oct. 10, 1981, to Debra Wirtz.

He was preceded in death by his father.  He is survived by his wife; children,
Greg and Carrie Mellema of Cedar Springs, Jeff and Sheri Mellema of Rockford,
Randy Mellema of Florida, Ginger and Greg Donaldson of Plainfield, Ill.; 10
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, mother, Lillian Mellema of Belding; and
brother and sister, Ivan and Linda Mellema of Grand Rapids, Jane and Jim Snyder
of West Olive.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor Gary Jacobsen, of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, officiating.
 Interment is in North Plains Cemetery, Ionia.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to
the American Cancer Society.
